Yesterday we celebrated the Jubilee of the UISG – the International Union of Superiors General – with a very moving liturgy at the church of Santa Maria In Traspontina on Via della Conciliazione in Rome, attended by some 350 religious. During the Eucharist which was celebrated by Cardinal Joao Braz de Aviz, 10 sisters from 8 different congregations were missioned to Sicily to work with migrants – another new inter congregational initiative.
